Plumas Christian Visits Kentucky Mine
On Friday, September 7, Mrs. Nielsen's 1st and 2nd grade class visited Kentucky Mine in Sierra City, California. Students perused the museum which included a life-sized replica of the "Monumental Nugget", a 106 lb. gold chunk found right there at the mine! Students also toured the operating stamp mill, and concluded with a visit from several endangered Townsend Big-Eared Bats flying by to say hello. Thanks to the Sierra County Historical Society for making this trip possible!
