Wednesday's Module Training - Real Work Experience (I don't suggest smoking - I'm just getting your attention.) The Real Work Experience program is now being formally released after several years of background beta testing. There was no charge for this program during its beta phase so all existing programs in place now will continue to be FREE. New Real Work Experience Progams will incur a small charge since learning over time that our direct involvement is required for this to be a successful program. We include the following services: Initial school presentation where the Chamber of Commerce would typically be a guest. We provide the training services to the teacher(s) on how to register and assign students. Provide the real work experience handbook for students and teachers. Provide the "field ready" business interview guide for students. Provide the support services department with chat and toll free connections. The program minimum is $99.95 per month and includes up to 200 participating businesses, then $.50 per participating business member after that. This may be billed to the school or included in the Chamber services invoice. This program opens up a great deal of grant opportunities for the schools and even the Chamber of Commerce. This service fee includes everything you find at www.RealWorkExperience.com for the school and the community. What a terrific way for a Chamber to be certain their members and the entire community is competitive online. We will cover two items today. Real Work Experience Program: The www.RealWorkExpereince.com website so that you can use this as a resource while discussing opportunity with your local school or college of choice. Describe the student handbook as showcased at the BESAC conference in Sacramento. Describe the teacher manual and their roll in this program. Answer any questions you may have. Chamber Assistant / Member Assistant Easy Information Access: As you know we have recently moved to a single toll free phone number with extensions to reach all of us (855) Add-Members and can see that most of you liked this move. Now we are moving into a phase where we will be eliminating most of our websites in order to centralize all of the information you will find useful into a easy to access environment. Until this is ready we have an interim website setup for you to use during this transition. This site is located at: www.ChamberAssistant.com and can be used now... during the transitioning of these websites we will alter the links at this one site so that you will still find the information you need during these transitions. Look for a brand new look and feel to the information we are creating to help grow and retain members... far less websites, but much better information resourcing!
