System Change Log

Here are the Chamber Nation system updates for the past 30 days (March):
  1. When putting together your calendar of events, you used to have to be specific and set up an Event Type called "Member Event."  Now, if there is no "Member Event" type set up, it will automatically create one, putting your Member Events into the correct category.
  2. There is now the option in MMS Configuration, and in the General Configuration to allow only limited categories to yoru members and to make the categories controlled by Administrators only for changes, additions, etc.  This can allow you to utilize additional categories as an option service to members for a fee.
  3. For Tiered Membership Plans, you can now turn on/off both the TCS Pages and the Displayed Right Options for individual members.
  4. You can add color to the Calendar now.
  5. The Welcome Message emails can now be formatted with Rich Text.  Also, if you have a broadcast message wrapper (Header+Border), that is used for the welcome message as well.
  6. The "Master Plan" of everything that is available and offered through Chamber Nation can be seen and accessed at www.chamberconsultant.com.  Click on the "More" men at the top-right to see all of the areas of service.  Then click on any of those areas to read all of the details.

Educational Tip of the Month

295_01022014120118.jpg     There may be many times that you have events where you would like to gather information or data remotely, but don't want to carry a full laptop computer with you.  In addition, the internet access may not always be available.  But you may not know that there is a very simple, powerful, and easy solution for you through the Chamber Nation Platform (if you have a mobile app).

All you have to do to gather any data/information that you desire at any event, is create a form in the Forms Builder in the administrative area of Chamber Organizer.  This form can be structured any way you desire and designed to gather any information you want.  Once you have the form built, use the "App Builder" link in your Mobile App Manager to add a Page that is a forms page - and choose the form you built for this purpose.  As soon as you press "save" - that form will be added to your mobile app menu and will be ready to use and gather all the data you need.

Another Newsletter Idea

There are some that want the Newsletter that arrives inside one's inbox to be short and simple, but there is the difficulty of how to include all of the details you want to communicate with your members.  Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce has put together a fantastic solution - the article titles with a "read more" link that will direct you to the website for the full information (see image below).
There are all kinds of options and features you can use to make this simpler.  For example, with the new "Calendar Events Import" - you can also quickly show your members the upcoming events, with links for all of the details and registrations as well.  So be creative, think outside the box, and know that there is a LOT you can do to make this fit your needs.

61 On-Demand Classes - Now Available

We have a newly-designed structure for our on-demand training.  We continue to work to make this a better experience for you.  Also, there is a quick shortcut URL to remember, to be able to access ALL of the on-demand videos:  ondemand.chamberclassroom.com (and scroll down the page to see the list and links for each training).

The Newest "On Demand" Videos are:
  • Event Registration - 9 videos to walk you through every element and part of event registration so you can tie it in with your calendar, set up your packages, promote your event, and so much more.
  • There are now 61 On-Demand Training videos available at ChamberClassroom.com.  It is exciting to see how we are continuing to grow each month.  It is also exciting to see how you all are making use of the on-demand video training.  And remember, we are not done yet.  More videos are being worked on every week... so if you don't see one that you need, let us know and keep an eye out for it.
The On Demand videos will continue to grow as a high-priority at Chamber Nation.  If there is a specific module you really would like to see up there sooner than later, please email your suggestion to Dr. Ryan Nielsen at ryan@chambernation.com.
