You can still use the radial buttons (the standard feature on the join page), but now we also have a special Member Feature Graph to display in a chart-picture form what the member receives at each level of membership. Contact us if you would like a brief tour of how to use these new features for your join page. We now have a New AJAX Calendar style with a more modern feel that you can choose from. This new style allows for viewing events by month, week, and day - and the event list on the right-hand side will also change accordingly. This new calendar can be found in the system links at 4.23 On the Member Directory, you now can turn on the option to search by State and also another option to search by Country. This must be turned on for your organization by engineering. Please let us know if you would like this feature enabled. On your Calendar of Events - you can now choose to have your Event Information (when you click on "more info") open in a new window, or in the same window. This is controlled in your "Calendar of Events Configuration." On your Member Directory page - when a member has set up their Traffic Catcher Site Page (TCS Page) they will have a "More Info" button showing with their directory information. When you click on that button, you can now choose to have their TCS Page open in a new window, or in the same window. This is controlled in your "General Configuration." We are focusing on the public website experience and pay more attention to the end-user so that you can provide them with the cleanest, up-to-date browsing experience. Educational Tip of the Month Have you ever taken a moment to stop and look objectively at your own website through the eyes of a prospective member wanting to join your chamber? How easy is it to find the JOIN link? How clear is it what it costs to join? How well do you explain, up front, the benefits that members receive when they join your chamber? One of the things we have found as we have helped many chambers, is that these simple things can make a significant difference in membership. If a prospective member cannot easily find out the cost, the benefits, and the link to join, they often will leave your site without joining - sometimes with the misconception that if they can't find that information quickly and easily on your site then it must not be available. So take a look again at your site this month. Look at it with the eyes of a prospective member. Ask yourself, "If I were a new business owner in town, would I want to join this chamber given the information I find on the website?" Your answers to these questions will guide you on if, and what, changes need to be made on your website for joining.
