System Change Log

Here are the Chamber Nation system updates for the past 30 days (April)
  1. New "Fly Out" submenus are now available on Custom Pages for a member's TCS Page.  In the area for "Upload Logo/Color" you can check the box to use Left Column Menu Fly-outs.  when you do this, you can also customize both the fly-out background color and the link color.

  2. There was a question during our last executive meeting in April asking if the Chamber Nation Newsletters were mobile friendly and worked properly on mobile devices.  We have confirmed that our newsletter format does work properly on all mobile devices

  3. There is now the option to include a link in an event registration configuration email for making online payments.  To utilize this, go to the MMS Configuration and then to Event Registration Configuration and put a check in the option titled "Include Online Payment Link in Confirmation Emails."  When this is checked, a link will be included to pay online if, a) the invoice is not already paid, and b) the organization has enabled at least one kind of online payment method.

  4. There is now the option to have a Renewing Members Scrolling box that is linked to their payment date instead of their terms of membership date.  You can use this by going to the MMS Configuration --> System Links and using the code for System Link 1.25.  If you would like a preview of who will show up on this scroller, you can use the Payment Report (by Date) in the Billing Menu (Set "Payment/Credit?" to "Both Payments and Credits", "Payments/Credits Applied To:" to "Renewals", "Member Status:" To "Active."  (This will not include people who have opted to exclude themselves from the Member Lists.)

  5. In the Member Billing Menu, on the far-right bottom of the page, there is now a "Change Log Reporting" option where you can view what changes to the billing and/or member records were done during a given date range that you select, as well as which admin made those changes.

  6. There is now an option to select/de-select which individual members will receive a billing email (dues invoice and past-due email).  This way you can send billing emails to only select individuals without having to send it to everyone on the list.  This feature requires that Chamber Nation staff turn on that option - so contact Dr. Ryan Nielsen if you would like this feature enabled.

  7. There is now an option in the "Press Releases Configuration" (MMS Configuration --> Press Releases Configuration) to turn on the option for "Do not open links in a new tab" so that the individual press releases open in the same tab/window as the press release index.

  8. The TCS Pages are now Mobile Friendly and will automatically detect if you are viewing them on a mobile device.

  9. On the "Table Packages" in Event Registration, it used to say "Additional Table Attendees."  The word "table" has been removed so as to not confuse anyone using this for other groupings (such as a golf foursome).  Now it simply says "Additional Attendees."

  10. In Event Registration, admins now have the ability to send a broadcast email to all attendees.  Previously, this was limited to the event contact (the main person who registered) and not to the additional attendees.  Now the additional attendees are included with everyone else in receiving the emails sent out this way.

  11. In the Member Database, when you click on the Function Wheel Icon, there is now a "Merge" feature.  This will allow you to choose two different records that you would like to merge, and then choose which option from each record that you want in the finalized merged record.

  12. In the Billing Menu, on the left-hand column underneath the section titled "Reports" there is now a "Last Term - Payment/Credit Report."  This report will list the details about the payments or credits made last term for members, as well as their current term status as well.

Tip of the Month:
Scheduling Events & Linking Them

One of the things that is very important to remember when using the Chamber Nation system to schedule events, both on the event calendar and in the event registration system is this:  Make sure you enter the event on the Calendar FIRST!  After you have entered the event in the calendar first, then you can go into the Event Registration and transfer all of the details in by choosing the event from the drop-down menu.

If, for some reason, the event registration page is not displaying a button to "click here to register for this event," all you have to do to fix that is to go back into the calendar admin and click to "edit" that particular event.  Then scroll down on the event information page to the option titled "Link to Event Registration System" and click on the drop-down option and choose the event from inside there.  That's all there is to it.

Let's Put Our Cities On the Map

Dear Chamber Nation Customers,

Last week we received a number of emails asking us about this new Google program called "Let's Put Our Cities on the Map" - we think it's great!

Over the years we have supported Google Places and answered member questions regarding this tool. As part of our PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP PLAN, we will be continuing our support. To simplify, and help you get a jump on the process, we have prepared an easy to follow document on how members are able to add their business to the Google Places program that you can VIEW HERE
