Ask Prospects... Would you like the Chamber to send you a formal business membership proposal?
Richard Scully, CEO We are pleased to announce that "Chamber" customers who have added the Premium Membership Plan option to make it easier to signup new members, and to increase revenue, can now send beautiful proposals right from inside the Chamber Nation system.
You will find this feature under the "Communications" area. Look for the link "Send Membership Proposal to Prospect" and answer a couple of questions.
Go ahead and try it by sending a proposal to yourself!
Ps. If you have not yet signed up for the Premium Membership Plan at your Chamber and would like to please CLICK HERE to download the 100% REVENUE POSITIVE PROPOSAL to get stated.

Change Log
- Retooled 1,2,3,4,5,6... Chamber Classroom area makes it much easier now for new staff to learn the basics of the Chamber Nation system. Only go to 7 when you are ready. You can view this at: www.ChamberClassroom.com
- "New" Newsletter Features - Suggested by Kristina Wiltgen of the Decorah Area Chamber in Iowa - Thank You! Now you can insert TWO MORE TYPES of DATA into your newsletters automatically: Article / Text / Image, Index of Articles, Calendar Events Import, Member Database Import, News Manager Import (NEW), Press Releases Import (NEW).
- TCS Page updates now include the option to insert a background image AND INSIDE 360 TOURS... wow they look really nice. CLICK HERE TO TAKE A LOOK.
- When using the Calendar found at System Link 4.6, when you scroll over a date it will now load a hover-box that will include the full location information AND a place where you can load two sponsor images to show (with optional URLs to link those images as well). See this image for an example.
- There is a NEW administrative structure/menu system for the Event Registration Configuration options. This is designed to make it easier to navigate and find what you are looking for. In addition, there is a little "information" icon next to every item that, when clicked on, will describe exactly what that option will do. However, if you prefer the "old" look, you can still access that by clicking on the link at the top titled "Old Configuration Page." See this image for a preview.
Coming Soon - Board Member Training Manual
In many instances the Chamber Board Members are volunteers that have no chamber expertise. They know they have access to something called the "Chamber Website," and to something "else" that does some "other things." What the board often does not know is what all they have and what all they can do with the Chamber Nation System and Program. Therefore, when I chamber is without a Chamber Executive, due to transitions, restructuring, etc. and the Board is trying to run things in the interim, most of them do not know what they have at their fingertips nor how to do it. And, as volunteers, they do not have hours and hours to spend watching training videos or scheduling one-on-one training sessions.
Our plan is to help the board by creating a special training section in our Training Guide that will explain to the board how to use the primary areas of the Chamber Nation System to improve the success of the Chamber and simplified instructions to maintain the use of the system.
This is a work that has just begun, but we are excited to share this upcoming feature with you and will keep you informed as progress is being made on it. Stay Tuned...

NEW - Ask Sue
Sue Hays You: “Sue?”
Sue: “What?”
You: “I’ve got a question and I don’t know who to ask or what to do.”
Sue: “OK. That’s why I’m here. Ask away, and then we’ll either find the answer or find options for you to check into.”

Association management is not an easy profession. Those of us filling the seats at the top of the management pyramid often possess significant expertise in areas other than the details of association management. When faced with a dilemma, we don’t have the right peer or resources to turn to turn for support, for ideas, or for the appropriate way to manage an issue.
As Chamber Nation expands its program, I am honored to be included as your contact for questions related to association management. Here are some instances where you can pick up the phone and call me at 910-215-0077 (I’m in North Carolina) or email me at haysassocmgt@gmail.com:
- Employee issues like performance evaluations, poor performance, rewarding excellent performance, firing or hiring
- Board issues like policies, elections, vacancies, or replacement of a Director
- Membership issues like committee management, disengagement, retention, and recruitment
- Meetings issues like agenda structure, Parliamentary procedure, hotel contracts, food and beverage
I have been in the business of association management since 1987. I’ve managed 501c3, 501c5, and 501c6 organizations at the Executive Director level as well as 1 state agency and 1 interlocal government agency. I’m an actively involved executive, always have been, which means my expertise in the profession comes from years of hands-on work with situations, people and organizations across the US and internationally.
