There is a secret in making this a rather simple project, but you first need to implement a module that is available to all of you.

During our last meeting Dawn Shepard of the South Fairfax Chamber of Commerce requested that we develop a Buy Local Program training.   After reviewing our overall member training we decided that it needed a major overhaul. This is now finished along with a new section specifically setup to support the new Buy Local Program.

Chamber Advertising Goes Mobile and Central Too!

If you are a Chamber of Commerce who is signed up with Chamber Nation you know how valuable member TCS pages can be for promoting members, the Chamber and overall community information.

Chamber Texting is now networking all of your members TCS pages together to form a powerful promoter of the Chamber Texting widget which is shown below (right). As people visit member TCS pages and view the widget on the Chamber's own website, you will amass many subcribers who have asked to receive special notifications from the Chamber and its membership through texting.

The Chamber is now able to build an entire advertising program around these subscribers. Now members may purchase text messaging ads directly from the Chamber which benefits the member and the Chamber. The Chamber of Commerce actually holds control of the main texting account used for promoting participating members and community events.

fyi – on our photo album editor (the newer one with multiple volumes), we’ve added a mass-upload feature.
This allows users to select a group of photo files to upload into the photo album.  This should speed up the process for all customers using the traditional photo system.  This save feature is also available in "Snap" editor system.

New single-column newsletter option per the request of Surprise Regional and Oroville Chamber. This can be accomplished by setting up a newsletter template that has the option to select a 1-Column or 2-Column layout.

Calendar for Today is a website we've developed that will help explain how you can convert your existing calendar into a robust community or regional calendar.  

When you insert a calendar widget into the newsletter manager, you will now find that you can select the type of events you want to show in the widget.  This supports multiple calendar widgets in a single newsletter.

We have received input on the updated Going Green Chamber program, but have not had an opportunity to start on retooling this module.  The information is being evaluated and then we'll design into the software.

Here are the items brought up in the executive meetings that need to be done that are still pending:

- The consensus is to add a number of check boxes members use to show what they are doing to go green, examples are: Recycle, Energy Conservation, Lowered Use of Air Conditioning, Etc... List is not built yet. No input from Chamber executives back yet for engineering guidance.

- Calendar invites where members say if they are going. Many people call in to the Chamber... executives want to be able to enter that into the members calendar invite directly. Sent to Engineering 4/22/10
