| 11/25/2024 | Join us for an Amazon Web Services evening class through CWI starting November 4th! Alan Carwile will be teaching “AWS Cloud Foundations”, to prepare students for the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification. If you’re new to Cloud infrastructure, or if you’re new to AWS in particular, this is the course for you. Content includes: concepts, economics and billing, security, networking and content delivery, compute, storage, databases, architecture, auto scaling, and monitoring. Classes are Monday and Wednesday 6pm-9pm for 3 weeks. We meet via Zoom for all sessions. November 11th is Veterans Day so we will not meet that day, and the last day will be November 25th. Content includes video presentations, slides, discussions, and AWS management console hands-on labs. Activities The Hour of Code offers a variety of activities for learners of all skill levels, including tutorials and games. Some activities include creating a dance party, helping AI clean the oceans, and building and exploring with Minecraft. When and where The Hour of Code takes place annually during Computer Science Education Week in early December. Events are typically hosted by K-12 institutions.
