3rd Annual, this event receives rave reviews regarding the chocolate and the visits with businesses!!Ticket Holders only:
Check in from 9am to Noon at the Red Mill. Upon check in you will receive your container to collect all your candy in, along with a list of participating businesses. When done, you'll have a variety of decadent hand patted and hand dipped chocolate from 'How Sweet It Is' in nearby Holt, MI (each individually wrapped and made in a licensed commercial kitchen)

A family friendly event, free to participate. Fun Games, prizes and activities for the entire family. Our local downtown businesses are all hosting games and fall treats in an enjoyable fall afternoon filled with lots of family friendly activities. There is no cost to attend, no purchase is necessary.We will have fun games with prizes and other fall events taking place in the road in our Historic District located in the 100 block of Kent St downtown.

Portland Area Historical Society Presents:Featured this year:
1. Willard Brooks - (1808-1883) An early settler of Danby Township who was involved in many business dealings.
2. Harvey Knox (1825-1908) - His family was among the first settlers of Portland. He was an ardent member of the temperance movement.
3. Bert Neller (1889-1968) and Blanche Neller (1893-1969) - They were the founders of the Neller Funeral Home.
Blanche was an ordained Methodist minister.
4. Clarence Arnold (1898-1979) - Served in the Canadian Army during WWI. He was a member of the Portland City Council during a tumultuous time in its history.
Jessie Arnold (1894-1981) - Born in England. Served as a nurse in WWI. A seamstress to members of Parliament.
