Recently voted “Best Local Event” by local beer aficionados, Portland Downtown Executive Director Tina ConnerWellman is excited to bring back #BeerOnBridge in new and exciting ways.
"I get to work with great promoters and outstanding volunteers. It’s exciting to see the community come together to welcome visitors from everywhere, all enjoying each other’s company in a fun and inviting environment. It's easy to see why it was voted ‘Best Local Event.’ Cheers to great tastes!” said ConnerWellman.
Each year offers a new flavor of this events signature beer, Portland Strong, brewed by our very own ConfluxCity Brewing Company and sponsored by Sandborn Farms.
Unique eats are provided by food trucks and caterers designed to compliment the beer, wine and cider offerings. Live music by a variety of artists completes the ambiance. However, it’s about more than the drinks, food and music, according to organizer and promoter Paul Starr, from I'm a Beer Hound.
This beer festival stands out as it is held on the historic, metal truss, continuous use bridge constructed in 1890. The bridge offers a historic and exciting entrance into downtown Portland.

The Portland Blue Sox will be hosting 2 HOME games this year!
SATURDAY AUGUST 19 4PM FACING THE KALAMAZOO CARDINALSSATURDAY AUGUST 26 4PM FACING THE LANSING CAPITALS
Vintage Baseball games are played by the ‘restored’ Portland Blue Sox team. Both the Home and Away teams adopt the rules, uniforms and equipment of the late 1800’s. Base ball of that period was played in the fresh air and sunshine in a less competitive atmosphere where everyone (including the players and spectators) cheered for the good plays by both sides. The Blue Sox team is composed of both male and female players, ages ranging from 16 up to 88. The game was played at historic Bud Plant Field, at Bogue Flats, just outside of downtown Portland

Based on a collection of short stories written by Damon Runyon, primarily “The Idylls of Sarah Brown” and “Blood Pressure”, Guys and Dolls premiered on Broadway in 1950 and received the Tony award for best musical.
There are at least 30 ensemble roles including the principal roles. There are four lead roles we are looking to fill; Sarah Brown, A prim and proper leader of the New York Save and Soul Mission, Miss Adelaide, the lead hotbox dancer and waiting bride to be, Sky Masterson, A high roller looking for love, and Nathan Detroit, good old reliable crap game fixer on the hunt for a place to hold the next big crap game.
Contact theatertroll01@yahoo.com with questions.
Guys and Dolls is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
