Letters to the Editor

Janice,
Not allowing certain books to be shelved in certain school libraries is not a "ban" any more than not being able to buy a bottle of booze at an elementary school means alcohol is banned from the community. Any parent who wants to show their kids the books in question is totally able to access one and give it to their kids. Having read a couple of them myself, I believe they do not belong in any elementary school. They are explicit, adult in nature. Why do people wish to destroy childhood? Try reading one out loud at the next school board meeting and see how that shakes out. I'm not sure who has read about this, but FBI crime statistics are no longer mandatory, they are voluntary. You can report them...or not. Currently, about 6,000 police agencies, including New York and Los Angeles, do not report their statistics. When political philosophies become more important than the populace, bet on the numbers, all the numbers, to bend in the direction of the politicians. The numbers currently reported by ICE absolutely run counter to crime levels decreasing, but we're supposed to believe "that's the way it is" from the same people who told us all about COVID. In addition to their scholarly work and studious research, I would like to thank the leftist brain trust for including the term "Maga" more and more in their rhetoric. It will help the next lunatic who believes in this nonsense to have so many more targets to chose from.
Sincerely,

Editor,
Magaheads! I hope you did not miss out on Trump merchandise: steaks, bibles, golden sneakers, coins, or the other tacky stuff Donald Trump has been hawking to his victims. But now you can get a $100,000 Trump watch. Such a deal. You better hurry!!! Trump thinks you are suckers. One other little item. You right wingers are not allowed to complain about the border problems because a very conservative senate Republican was able to cobble together a border bill that would have fixed the border problems. But the red headed brainiac told the House not to vote for this bill because it would have put an end to Trump's only campaign issue. Again, he supports himself and not our country or you. Quick, buy a watch before they are gone.

Letter to the Editor:
The name caller has pledged to expel tens of millions of immigrants. All of this is to stop the plunder, rape, slaughter, and destruction of our American suburbs, cities, and towns. Slaughter? Really when all of the mass shooters and snipers ere Caucasian. In 2023, ICE which has 6,000 deportation officers and Customs and Border Patrol deported about 450,000 people. Raising that number to a million a year would involve up to 150,000 deputized enforcement officers. Those arrested would then need to be retained someplace. The U.S. currently spends $3.4 billion a year on staff and space to hold 41,500 detainees, and that spend would rise exponentially. Trumps plan would cost “billions” and take approximately 20 years. A mass deportation “its mass racial banishment” of undocumented migrants who make up 15 percent of construction workforce, 22 percent of farmworkers, 8 percent of service workers. Such a crackdown would “vaporize the economy.” His first term added a whopping $8.4 trillion to the national debt, while his tariffs “damaged U.S. manufacturers.” His tax cuts alone would add $10.5 trillion to the deficit over a decade. His proposed tariffs would increase inflation and eventually lead to a recession.
